Collision sound

Might it be possible to have more than a generic beep as the sound for collisions, something along the lines of wood bending/splinterinng, sail ripping, rigging snapping?

I'd attach a .wav example (cobbled together from a few royalty-free and free sound files), but Intel doesn't allow any "sound file" types.
