Modded EMP files??
Had a small idea, could be fun (if it works, don't know yet as I rarely modd the base game files). People who are setting up scenario's can now modd stuff (ships etc) to accept components they would otherwise not (ie, frigate with massive WMG) by changing the component files. The files are then changed back and the newly made ships can be built even though the 'insides' are not the 'right size' etc.(at least this is how I understand it is done, please correct me if I'm wrong).
Now my question is this: Could the racial abilities be modded so they cost 0 points??. And then .emp files for various races created that could have major racial abilities/stats above and beyond the 5000 point max. Then could these .emp files be saved and used in a regular 'non-modded' game for added challenge?? (hopefully!)
This could be used to create a race that uses ALL the special techs, and actually be competative.
