An odd thing happened in a game (gosh, like that's never happened before...)

I was testing out a research script for fun, and for some reason it kept adding Mines to the research list. I think it had something to do either with some of my scouts running into minefields, or the Galactic Empire running into and sweeping my minefields. I think I can see why the AI would do this since it needs the minesweeping capabilities. Just found it interesting.
