Starscape VII: The Legacy of the Ancients (PBEM)

Greetings, everyone.

I would like to announce that Starscape VII is due to start soon, probably within a month or two.

We are now accepting signups. However, the new Version will not be released for a few weeks, so hold off on creating your races for now. Note that the new Version that will be used for S7 probably will not be compatible with the current Version used in the currently running Starscape 6.

Shipset requirements are not likely to change, so you can go ahead and create or convert your shipsets now if you'd like.

To sign up, simply email me at [email protected] and let me know you'd like to sign up. I will add you to the new game notification list and you will recieve email updates keeping you up to date with status and letting you know when the S7 Version will be available.

Starscape 7 will focus more heavily on politics and interaction than Starscape 6, which mostly dealt with the rise of the Mycoid infestation. Starscape 7 will center around the construction of the post-cataclysm spacefaring community. It is hoped that we will get many more players signed up than we did with S6, as it will help to improve the diversity and dynamic of the game community.

Starscape 7 will have a greater economic focus, but along with that will come a greater threat from pirates. War and combat will certainly not be a stranger in this game, but at least you won't have any powerful monster races to fend off this time -- at least, not for a while anyway.

The game will also have a deeper plot, which builds upon continuing storylines from the earlier games. So those of you who are familiar with Starscape's past should see some of your favorite old characters and races re-emerge and continue thier adventures in this new game.

Players of all skill levels are welcome! If you are new, you will probably learn alot playing this game. If you are experienced, you will be challenged! Roleplaying is encouraged, but not mandatory. Even if players don't roleplay, there will still be plenty of it going on, with a plethora of unique and diverse NPC races and a system that rewards roleplaying with actual in-game benefits.
