BUG: (?) Instant death for no reason

Hello all,

A strange thing is happening in my game. For some reason, sometimes when I hit the next turn button on a saved game, I instantly die. It says that I have been vanquished - even if I still had dominion, and my pretender didn't get killed in the battle. In this case, the board turns all funny (no icons, blank map) and I have lost.

Sometimes (with the same save) it says that Machaka was vanquished, and they turn independant. Its almost like Machaka was *supposed* to die, but it accidentally killed me instead?

I thought the same thing happened earlier, because R'leh also went all independant instantly as well in a single turn, even though it still had territory with dominion and temples.

I'm on Version 2.11 (latest I think)
