Default Question about VehicleSizes.txt

I was looking through the comments area of the VehicleSizes.txt and found the following blurb:

Fighter:
Stored in Fighter Bays or on a planet.
Can be launched into space and moves/refuels just like a ship.
Can be recovered by a ship with Fighter Bays or a planet.
They can be self-destructed or fired upon.
Moves like a ship.
May or may not have the ability to warp through warp points.
Once fuel is exhausted, it is destroyed.
Completely under player control.

My BIG question is the part that says 'May or may not have the ability to warp through warp points.'

May warp??? Oh please...Tell me how this is done! I have this real urge to make something called a Gunboat (Anyone remember Renegade Legion Interceptor). A Gunboat should be a cross between a fighter and a ship (For those of you familiar with Star Fleet Battles, this would be a PF). I want to construct a vessel using the fighter creation area. I'm thinking about a size 50kT or so vessel. Add in some limited capabilities to move independently of a carrier. I'll probably still make a PF/Gunboat, but I REALLY want to give it warp point capabilities.

*Sigh* I bet this is something like drones, right? It's mentioned, but it isn't really there...
