OT: Help with really slow XP network

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with an insanely slow XP Home computer when browsing a network.

I hooked up a new XP Home computer to our small (6 computer) TCP/IP network at work and it browses the network insanely slow. Like it takes 2 or 3 minutes to open a network folder with only 2 or 3 files in it.

Folder with lots of files just wont open at all. I added a similar computer a couple months ago and just ran the network wizard and it works great.

also anyone know a good forum for PC tech questions like this?
