So I found out about this weblog, that is posting daily entries from Samuel Pepys diary.
Most of us probably recall being forced to read some excerpts from his diary in high school English class. It chronicles a critical time in English history: the restoration from Cromwell's puritan government to the return of a monarchy. Oh, and he writes a fair bit about eating, drinking, and paying the bills. Real thrilling stuff when you're in high school.
If you found it boring in high school, check it out anyway. One entry a day is a lot easier to take. I'm really getting interested in this guys life.
And when they find it open at work, people are more curious. People tend to avoid the guy browsing a forum with a bullet at the top of the page.
"OK, Ralph's looking at ammunition again"
"Not a good day to add to his project"
[EDIT] Check out new sig
