The use of designated marksman in the game?

Hello everyone, this is not my first post here but it is my most recent one. Have not been on as a member for a good while now.

The question I have is the use of designated marksman instead of snipers in the game.

While going through the game I have found various "snipers" listed with weapons not of the sniper class such as AK-47s, G3SG1s, regular assault rifles etc. Is it possible to use in a designated marksman role by tweaking the statistics in mob-hack?
