Why no US special forces?

I am curious, I know they dont do a lot of fighting but in Vietnam they did.

They are covered under the Rangers. The two have basically the same mission IN THE GAME and would have the same EXP and MOR modifiers

Yes they are different but game-wise the same

the Green Beret were very active in Vietnam. And there are no US rangers in the TO for that period.

Vietnam years are mostly what I play I try the Israelis too but in the early years it is tough cause the arab tanks are cheap and better then the Israeli tanks.

I just checked and true enough there are none between the end of Korea and the end of Vietnam...... IDK why and this is the first time someone has pointed it out

well the rangers were disbanded after Korea and while I have found reference to them in Vietnam no actual unit size or composition was listed. They were probably brought back in 74 and are available then in game I think

well I mostly play the South Vietnamese anyway. I make an armored cav battalion and then buy helos and buy rangers for the support in the battles.

with 1250 for support I can buy a SV ranger Battalion of 3-line companies.

If you have info, please share. The main work on this OOB and these units was done over 2 decades ago and if someone doesn't complain, we don't go looking for things to fix

On 1 January 1969, under the new U.S. Army Combat Arms Regimental System (CARS), these units were redesignated "Ranger" in South Vietnam within the 75th Infantry Regiment (Ranger) and all replacement personnel were mandatory airborne qualified.[31][32] Fifteen companies of Rangers were raised from LRRP units, which had been performing missions in Europe since the early 1960s and in Vietnam since 1966

ANYONE else want's to chime in about this please do. It appears we have most of what we want but with different naming conventions but dates need tweaking

I found reference to I believe 75th rangers in several readings I did but I dont remember seeing any TOand E for them I assume it was a battalion.
