I thought some people on here might be interested in this article, aimed at filling in some of the holes in the Royal Navy (including Royal Marines and Fleet Air Arm that directly come into the game).It is a informed 'wish list' if you like of equipment that the Royal Navy, including the Royal Marines and Fleet Air Arm, badly needs.
This follows a House of Commons cross party select committee which stated bluntly that “the UK already has a woefully low number of vessels… it lacks the maritime strength to deal with the threats we face right now, let alone in the future”
It also comes on the day the much anticipated UK National Shipbuilding Strategy report (mainly relating to RN and RFA ships) by Sir John Parker came out.
