Re: WinSPWW2 version 6.0 Upgrade patch
The German OOB had quite a number of changes this release but I forgot to change all the version numbers on the OOB Info page just before release so they still report last years date....INGORE THAT. If you are using any OOB's but the ones that came with the release they are out of date

Well darn...I really like the english names,
Thanks for the heads up - guess I'd better re-run the patch.

Re: WinSPWW2 version 6.0 Upgrade patch
Observation:
Not sure if this was all along part of the game, but I realised that the delay for gold spots (Pre-targeted points) changes with the timeline. Started a campaign in '31 and the delay was 2.2. By '37, it was 1.0.

One of the first things I did on getting the code in the MS-DOS days. Arty delay is longer in pre-war (pre-radio) days.
Same happens in MBT - post computers (the 80s?) its a little better than in the 1950s.

Re: WinSPWW2 version 6.0 Upgrade patch
Question: Per my previous I am using the v6 patch with a v5 LC campaign that I had been using the English name mod in. Upgraded to v6 and I see, understandably enough with saved games, that in my existing LC the German units still have English names.
Is this old LC taking all advantages of the v6 patch data/OOB-wise?

You just happen to have the changed name strings in place in your current save-game data that were read when the last unit/formation/leader or whatever that mod fiddled with was created. You wont whenever you start a game with a new whatever the mod changes (e.g. try generating a one-off battle and see what occurs).
