Default NI Versions of Maps

NI or No Indy maps are simply maps where every poptype for every province (recruitable units tied to the province rather than sites, or nations) has been voided. Indy defenders still appear fine and will need to be conquered, but you can't recruit stuff like generic archers, priests, commanders, knights, crossbowmen, barbarians, tribals etc unless you find a site that allows their recruitment.

Features of a NI map:

Nature mages are no longer incredibly common
AI opponents will stick to their national troops, not indy chaff
You may actually have to use national commanders, scouts etc
Lack of archers for nations like Abysia actually means something
There's a bigger divide between water and land nations
Sites with recruitables, even villain's lairs or shambler villages, suddenly take on significance

Now there have been several places where NI maps have been posted and there's a script or two out there that converts maps, but I thought for your ease of use, I'd make this central thread and extend the offer of compiling a pack of NI .map files so no-one need go through any bother creating them, or tracking them down. All you need to do to have a map added to the zip on this post, is to post a link to it (or even just the name).

Why am I doing this? Primarily because I think NI maps are really fun. I use them almost exclusively rather than regular maps because I like the added national restrictions. You might not realise just how much difference they make to the way you play - suddenly the 40 leadership on a mage becomes a feature, having cheap missile units helps define a nation and there's no more easy entry into nature magic for everyone, nor those S1 shamans.

I've stuck a handful of NI maps in the initial zip. As I said, please do let rip with the requests. I won't however be posting the original .map files, or the graphic files (those you should be getting from their original threads).
