Where is the enemy?
Playing my campaign (see DAR, June 44-May 45, for the game before this one) deployed my troops in a meeting engagement.
Choose my own map (beach), rather big.
Started of by engaging a platoon of tanks.
Waited a long time, engaged one single team, and waited some more engaged one more team.
That’s it. For about 20 turns, all that happens is the AI blasting away on my forces, raising havoc among my Sdkfz 251/1, and other light armored vehicles.
Sent out scouting patrols to the beach, nothing.
Is there a way to take a look at my enemies (AI) dispositions?
I could attach a save game, but any thoughts would be great, and/or a tip of how I can take a look at the AI.
Are they stuck or something, since this is a Beach map, and there wasn’t any plan for use of a beach map?

Re: Where is the enemy?
Well, played a couple of turns more. Suddenly the game ended.
Decisive victory. Checked out the map, and the enemy. Masses of formations, all destroyed, but not by me.
Strange..
Didn’t see any destroyed enemies on the map though.
All I saw was a sniper, a long way from land.

Sounds pretty much it choose a beach map & then let the AI land instead of yourself, why.
If its not set to beach mission they wont buy landing craft

Re: Where is the enemy?
Meeting, AI and beaches don't go too well together. Landing is supposed to present either assault or defense.

Beach landings are beach assaults.
If a player is silly enough to give the AI a beach map in a battle type where it does not know that it needs to buy landing craft, then the AI forces will drown.

Re: Where is the enemy?
Some of them made it, they where heroes .
The rest was taken by a gigantic tsunami, and drowned.
Honest, I dint even thought about that map being a beach map. My troops were placed so far back on the map, so I thought it would be plenty of land for the enemy.
Anyway, that was 5 turns of fun engaging the surviving heroes, and about 20 turn’s of not so fun, being harassed by the enemy AF .
Life goes on. I’m on to the next battle with my sunburned and rested units .
