Default Vehicle Weight "Issues"

I've run into some "problems" with air/helo transportability of certain vehicles.
Notably the LAV-25 in the USMC (#13) OOB.
While these can, and are, transported via external slings by CH-53's in reality an OV-22 Osprey can't lift one.
However due to the default vehicle weight (10) two (2) can be carried.
If we up the vehicle weight to say 26 (so that neither the CH-46 nor OV-22 can transport them) will this cause problems with the assignment of landing craft in amphibious assault scenarios?

It will mean the barges and LC will carry less of them is all really. Off I don't think there are any modern USMC scenarios involving LAV's

It's a difficult problem to deal with. Lift capacity is almost always the number of men but as soon as you put a 2 in front of that you can can carry that much vehicle weight and vehicle weight is in the most part abstracted and only rarely with an eye to how many a helicopter might be able to lift

Which LAV-25's have a weight of 10 ? All the ones I see are 18.

OOB #13 USMC
Weight 10 LAV's
Unit # 27 - LAV(AT)
Unit # 30 - LAV(81)
Unit #100 - LAV(EFSS)
Unit #228 - LAV FIST
Unit #497 - LAV FIST

Sorry Don, I specifically mentioned the LAV-25 but I was speaking in general terms.

We're going to make a slight code change so that ony one vehicle per helo or aircraft can be loaded. I'm sure there are transports out there that may be able to carry two or maybe even three of something but this solves a number of problems
