Default CBM1.3 help

I understand CBM1.3 contains Worthy Heroes.

From my understanding LUCK plays a BIG deal in Worthy Heroes on how many Heroes IF any that you would get.

If you have Luck 3 you get a lot, If you have Misfortune 3 you get 0.

So I ask if I am to play Helheim EA and just don't have the points for Luck should I even try them (or any nation) with CBM on?

Another NOOB question, I see in the manual under suggestions of Pretenders that it may say "Take a dragon F9 & A9 awake.

I was just messing around with scales ect and I don'T see HOW you can get Fire with 9 icons and Air with 9 icons and have ANY scales at all, especially it he's awake.

I know the manual isn't the best source but you would think it would be somewhat realistic.

So how would you design a pretender, say for Helheim EA, or even R'yleh EA with CBM 1.3 on?

Luck does indeed mean more heroes than misfortune (this is the same for CB, Worthy heroes, and base game). However, just because CB/Worthy heroes makes heroes better doesn't mean you are in any way forced to take luck just because you are using the mods- in fact the majority of people do not.

CBM or not, heroes appear at (3+LUCK SCALE)% rate per turn. So if you have luck 3, you have 6% chance each turn to get a hero; while if you have misfortune 3, you get 0%.

You generally do not want to go to misfortune 3, 2 still gives a slime chance of getting heroes.

It's not such a difference that it's worth basing your whole strat around it.

If you have order 3 and/or a double bless etc it's very very normal to go for misfortune 2

PS usually if you go for a double bless you'll need an imprisoned pretender. If you have a double bless with hellheim it means you have powerfull units (very powerfull even) so there is no need to have an awake SC pretender, your expansion should be good anyway.

I think air bless isn't a very good choice for hellheim though (not played them much though) Earth and water or earth and fire are the most used combinations for hellheim blessings. (with earth 9 bless you'll have a very high protection so unless you encounter excessive archery fire you'll be fine and air 9 is just not a very good bless really

(also you already have good air magic so no need to take air for magic diversity)

now.. if you happen to encounter yomi you should be wary though dangerous critters there

/me gonna test wtf yomi should do against a 2x bless hellheim
