The cheezy and exploitive MP tactics thread
I don't know if this has been done yet since my checking didn't turn up anything. I thought it would be interesting to have a thread for players to declare what they consider unfair, and see others feelings on the matter.
I'm out of practice so all I can think of is the tactic of attacking an opponents army with a scout or other single unit(s) to try and stall his attack schedule.
Others?...

Re: The cheezy and exploitive MP tactics thread
You can't do that. Scout won't stop an army. Small group yes, but not scout. You will have just 2 battles, one of your scout, another of enemy attacking you.

Re: The cheezy and exploitive MP tactics thread
I think it kills a movement phase. That can mess up a well laid plan where the other guy wants multiple armies to meetup.
Personally, Id consider it to be real-world realistic (or at least movie-world realistic). A smart scout cant cause an army to dig-in for one turn?

Re: The cheezy and exploitive MP tactics thread
I'm 90% sure that I have stopped armies with single commanders. Are you thinking it's because the scout is coming out of stealth?
Mists of Deception + Wrathful Skies + Retreat is, of course, cheesy and exploitive.

Re: The cheezy and exploitive MP tactics thread
I know I have done this many times in sp.
It doesn't always work.. but it works often enough to make it valuable.

Re: The cheezy and exploitive MP tactics thread
Deepest apologies, guys. Very, very, deeply sorry. So on and so forth. I haven't been around much since last year and as stated in the OP, I didn't find any equivalent threads. Thank you for your input, though.

Re: The cheezy and exploitive MP tactics thread
The only one I can really remember is Mists of Deception + Wrathful Skies followed by retreat. The battle just keeps on going...
There are other bugs as well, but not many non-bug exploits that I know of. Not that bugs will be likely to be fixed, since Illwinter has more important things to do, like creating overpowered nations of cannibalistic giants.

Re: The cheezy and exploitive MP tactics thread
this thread has it all on cheats/exploits/abuse; and ppl's opinions on what is and is not such.
http://www.shrapnelcommunity.com/thr...=&fpart=1&vc=1
one of my fave threads, actually; I even remember the story behind why it got started.
EDIT: hmm. now I reread the OP, a lot of the listed cheats have been edited out. There was stuff about how to quickmove and move armies in and out of seiged forts. Was that stuff fixed?
