Default Modding questions to devs =)

I think it's already time to begin to ask some modding questions for devs about some gamedata content, about which nothing is written...

I will begin =)

1)There is FLAG called "hypervision" for objects from dir "items", written about it that is have detection ability of cloaked ships, but how to use it? I already tried to add it to sensors and it has no effect.

2)The sensor have some parameters.
TYPE sensor
PAR0 1400
PAR1 0
PAR2 1
As I understood PAR0 - it's scanning range on starmap, PAR2 - shows borders of nebulas. But what doing PAR1? And can you give list and of parameters with explanations?

That's all for now =) But soon i will have more questions to you =)

All devs so "busy" that they can't explain so little thing!?
Or make normal tutorial with explanations of all modding aspects or don't make game moddable!!!

Hey WarStalkeR, I'll drop someone a line so they can respond.
With the game being out going on three years I don't think the devs check the forum every day or anything, so it's just a matter of they hadn't seen your question yet. With it being a holiday weekend don't know what there plans are, but hang on, I'm sure they'll be happy to provide the answers you're looking for.

Big thanks S.R. Krol!
I'm still planing to write full modding tutorial with explanation of all modding content and aspects, because too much things not writen in it for real full-scale modding...

Someone from Digital Eel should be stopping by in the near future. The coder of the team keeps pretty busy so I'm not sure exactly when, but hopefully not too long.

On the subject of mod guides have you seen this:

http://www.digital-eel.com/modguide/

It's somewhat old but it may be of some help...

Already looked these modding pages, found nothing about "hypervision" and sensor parameters...

Hi guys. I know Iikka (Fingers) has been very busy with other things (like Valve stuff), so I'll mention this to him. I'm sure he'll want to check in. Give it a couple of days. Sorry I can't help. I'm just the piano player.

I think the hypervision flag only works on items that are in your cargo hold, not on systems that are installed.

I don't remember what the PAR1 on sensors does (if anything). It's set to zero on all the sensor items. It's possible it was intended to be used for something (like different range in open space vs. nebula) but never was.
