Question for Digital Eel and Shrapnel Games

I have been doing music and sound effects for a few modders, and a couple of the requests are for amended versions of various bits of music from the original game.

Please could you let me know if it is OK for me to use the original music and 'remix' it for this purpose alone?

I would ensure that the modder also credits the original composer (Rich Carlson?), and will not use this music in any other way.

I just didn't want to do this without any prior permission ;-)


(P.S. Love the music/sfx by the way - the SFX award was WELL deserved.
If forced, I'd say my favourite is the one for 'The Quicksilver Sea'. Beautifully haunting.)
