Personally, I always thought "escort" was a pretty dumb name for a ship hull. It is a role, not a hull type! Don't worry, formations can have "escort" ships in 'em!

Well, all of the SE hull sizes are named as roles.
But it does sound better than "200kt hull" and "400kt hull" like I used in GritEcon
