I don't think so. One of the most fundamental complaints made against the AI is that it "forgets" everything that happened the Last turn, and plays each turn completely out of context of what happened in preceding turns, and what is likely to happen in future turns. So, even if an intel project tells it where a space port is, it won't "remember" where it is long enough to send a smart bomb ship to it. One of the many reasons purely information-based tech attacks should probably be ignored by the ai intel minister.

More than that, would it be smart enough to RUN AWAY after it had destroyed the Space Port? I've been contemplating setting one of the AIs up to research bio-weapons and build "planet sabotage" ships equipped only with the bio-weapon and lots of shields/armor to survive the attack run. But I suspect that the AI would just sit there and keep pounding the planet with the 15 points per hit of the plague bomb and not know to HAUL @SS after getting one hit. So, I haven't bothered.

Intel ops, mostly. Well that and shooting planets with smart bombs. If the enemy's score drops after that, you hit a port
