Default Minor computer virus bug

The computer virus should only damage master computers according to its description and this is correct if you target ships. However if you target fighters and satellites it does normal type damage. The best way to correct this IMO that you remove the ability of the computer virus to target anything else but ships.

Are you sure it's doing "normal" damage? Units do have computer cores, you know. Does it seem to take the same amount of damage to destroy each unit? Since units do not suffer individual components lost, I think that a fighter or satellite would simply be marked destroyed when it's computer core was destroyed. It might be working as designed, and destroying units very cheaply.

If that's the case, then they might be useful than I previously thought...

Assume you have a 1kg squirrel
E=mc^2
E=1kg(3x10^8m/s)^2=9x10^16J
which, if I'm not mistaken, is equivilent to roughly a 50 megaton nuclear bomb.
Fear the squirrel.

I am pretty sure that is does normal type damage on units with the kT value indicated. And fighters don't have a computer core! But I would suggest you make your own test. I never tried it on planets too.
I corrected the target ability in my component file and now everything is fine.

Yeah, if it attacks fighters then it must be a problem in the combat code. Fighters don't have a computer core. Oh well, it's easy to just change the targetting to ships only.
