Assassin leaders with troops
When an assassin that can have troops, such as the Machaka Bane Spider, attempts an assassination, will their troops join in the attempt?

Re: Assassin leaders with troops
...although I've sometimes wondered if it would be a spiffy feature if an assassin with Heroic Leadership could bring his stealthies along.

Re: Assassin leaders with troops
Sort of - they are automatic combat summons, and an assasination attempt IS a combat, even if a special case.

Re: Assassin leaders with troops
You could put a Wraith crown/lifelong protection on your assasin to stack the odds against enemy army commanders.

Yeah; a Skull Talisman or a Bag of Winds can also have similar useful effects.

Re: Assassin leaders with troops
Doesn't seem quite fair that a commander can bring his bodyguards with him, but an assassin can't bring additional units.
Of course, the reasoning could be that the more people you have involved in an assassination attempt, the more likely it is to be discovered and fail.

Re: Assassin leaders with troops
Well, the commander has only his *bodyguards* with him in that battle. What use are bodyguards if they won't help if an assasin comes after you?

Re: Assassin leaders with troops
I understand the use of bodyguards, but why not a hit squad?
