Default Species 8472 done, and in the downloads section

Heres the link: http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/For...ML/000017.html

Please let me know what you think. I had to use a lot of lead way to develop this set, and I used a few of Warp_Nines 8472 images to round off the set. It has AI, but I would really appreciate it if someone could make a kick *** AI for this set.

Enjoy, and let me know of any issues you have. Thanks.

Very nice work. Thank you again.
As for the AI at the moment I don't have the time to create one, but I think the organic technology would fit quite well to species 8472, or what do you think?

Atrocities - how about making a go at the neglected Star Fleet Battles races, like the Gorn, Hydrans, Lyrans, ISC, Adromedans, Tholians, Orians, and Kzinti (my favorite). There are more than enough images for them thoroughout the Star Fleet Command II community, and you should be able to get permission to use thier ships.

Thanks Q, I agree about the organic tech.

Atraikius, I have emailed several people, and so far the only one to give me permission to use images has been from http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org/, and most of those images are Star Fleet. I have collected some other images from SFC, but not many. Interplay did not release a ship data base which in my opinion is one of the reasons the game was not widely recieved. I am also looking into Star Fleet Acadamy, and Klingon Acadamy for more images than I already have use.

I am currently working on the Breen, Mirror Federation, and Pre-TOS races. I am also thinking about an intrum race between TOS movies and STNG. There are more than enough ships to do it, and I have already started compiling the images that I want to use.

I would love to get my hands on 3d rendered Centurs and many other ships, but alas, I can not.

If anyone knows how to get images from SFC, please let me know. I can not get good Top Down images nor can I get 3d front vies. The game just does not seem to work that way.

Have you tried www.strategyplanet.com/sfc/omega/fleetdock13/ - has TOS/SFB ships, or www.red-rock-cafe.5u.com/ - sfc links.

The SFC ship data base (I'm assuming you mean the ships not thier game stats) is in the assets\models directory - each ship has its own folder. There are some viewers and converters available on various websites, although the viewer I have doesn't work too good due to being unable to zoom out, but I havn't had much trouble playing a single battle and taking top view screenshots with the zoom set for sufficient detail, and the portraits by switching to chase mode with target traking off and directing the ship to head toward the bottom of the variable screen (one below weapon panel) on the control panel.
