Re: Startrek: Starfury resurrected!
Utopia321, I got the models now. I think I can finish Intrepid by tomorrow. I haven't even unzipped the files yet because I've been rather busy today.
The other models have to wait I'm afraid to the end of july. Tomorrow I have lots of things to do because I'll be leaving town for almost a month.
Other thing...I browsed today through some Star Trek sites to get information. Well what puzzles me is the timeline safe warp engine. What does happen if you go past warp 5 without one? I didn't find answer to that.

Re: Startrek: Starfury resurrected!
I remembered something said about timeline. Well maybe the site wasn't very accurate then. Might have been subspace too. My memory has dozens of other things to remember. And I haven't watched Star Trek so much myself. Only 6th and 7th seasons of DS9 and the three seasons of Enterprise. I'm much more familiar with B5. Too bad you can't add ships with rotating sections to Starfury. Omega class destroyer would have been so cool.

Re: Startrek: Starfury resurrected!
Well in that case, if it's Subspace then you have to use Warp Nacelles like that on Voyager (Intrepid Class). Someway unknown to me the folding Nacelles don't cause damage to subspace (Subspace allows warp travel but is damaged by Dilitium waste, right Ian?). Anywho, yeah without the enhanced warp drive found on Voyager any warp factor is hazardous to Subspace, it all depends on how fast you want to go and how badly you want the future to be warpless.
EDIT: In fact I think that warp nodes or gates or points (So on and so on) are way better than free roaming warp capable vessels. Of course it's not like the damage caused by Warp travel is enormously signifigent, most damaged Subspace blends in with unharmed subspace (like sugar in water), but if everyship in the galaxy were to go to warp at the same instant subspace as we know it would cease to exist and warp drive would only be a dream once more!!
So remember that when to super charge your asses home kiddies.

Re: Startrek: Starfury resurrected!
Thanks for the explanation. Also there has been a problem with the models you sent me. Lithunwrap won't open them and reports an error message so I'm afraid I can't add them to the game. If I can't open them in Lithunwrap, I can't do the hardpoint data and I cannot render the portrait and shield layout pictures. Also I think that Starfury can't open them either. Sorry!
If you could find models in a 3ds format it would be a great help.
Somehow Lithunwrap has hard time opening x files. I cannot open all the x files I've saved with lithunwrap most of them having several texture maps or atleast several mapping Groups.
EDIT: I hope you can find some new meshes. The three ships I want to fly are the Omega class destroyer from B5, Defiant from DS9 and White Star from B5. Currently the only model reminding Star Trek is in this state. It works but it doesn't have decent textures yet.
U.S.S Excalibur
ok. I deleted your Posts so I lost your e-mail address Utopia321. And since I can't send you private Messages either I guess I can say it here as well. If you want to test the Excalibur yourself you can get it from the link below. It's a campaign.

Re: Startrek: Starfury resurrected!
Very nice Exan, but I don't like the registry and name, it screams bold text! Can you do anything about that? Maybe curve it a little?

Re: Startrek: Starfury resurrected!
Easily. I have the texture map also in pfd form where everything is in layers. You can remove windows, surface patterns, texts, engines etc. easily and draw new ones.
Do you have a new registry number in mind? Currently I use NCC-1973. Also the font is Times New Roman. What do you recommend? Well I have the Enterprise pilot on computer. I'll take a look from it and try to find a similar one. Curving the font is going to be easy.

Re: Startrek: Starfury resurrected!
Also I've worked with a small shiptesting campaign. Actually I'm just modifying the one Deadzone made. Anyway here's a screenshot on how both of my creations currently looks in the game. I still have to scale the Quetzacotl down a bit.

Re: Startrek: Starfury resurrected!
I'll get back to you on that Exan right now I have an announcement to make.
Until further notice Startrek Starfury is being postponed. Anyone who uses Startrek Bridge Commander and has skills in modding head over to this site: http://Users.skynet.be/Alexis.Rombau...der/index2.htm
and contact a modder named Apollo. I want everyone interested to help him.
See what we plan to do with Starfury is already being done with BC. In 2 months modding will be done on ATP Dimensions, a awesome 3d adventure of exploration and kickass starship to starship combat. This is the mod that all Trekkies have been waiting for and I want to give Apollo as much help as possible. Who's with me?
(I apologize to all Starfury Users for this delay but if we can get this mod out faster we can start on Startrek Starfury again that much faster.)
Daniel Rastellini
Startrek Starfury Founder
P.S. I'm sorry guys I just love BC more than SF.
