Stuck (or bug?) in Campaign 2 (spoilers)
I'm supposed to hunt down a group of stealth Fazrah cruisers in the Fitkil system, but I can't seem to find them. After a while with no luck I looked in the Main_Jobs.txt file and found that mission calls for a group called Fazrah Stealth Cruisers 1, after following the trail of breadcrumbs I failed to find any reference to the Fazrah Cruiser S that makes up the group in the Enemies.txt file.
Am I missing something, or is there, in fact, no such thing as a Fazrah stealth cruiser whose presence (and subsequent destruction) are needed to complete the mission (until I change the mission to reference a ship that does exist, that is)?

I've got the same problem. But heres an idea: you can buy tachyon sensors that detect cloaked ships. Maybe the ships are cloaked and you have to detect them with Tachyon Sensors before you can take them out.

I tried that before I started looking in the data files without any luck. I didn't see a cloaking device component in the components file either.

Oh well, its only one mission, even though its kind of annoying to fail. At least you can still continue with the storyline. Hopefully this problem will be addressed sometime and a solution given. Can anyone else help out here??

I just changed the job to create a different enemy group. I think this a Kobayashi Maru scenario, the only way to win is to reprogram the simulation.

Re: Stuck (or bug?) in Campaign 2 (spoilers)
Well, looks like a little bug in the following text file:
Main_EnemyGroups.txt
Find the file in the following location, under the folder where you installed StarFury:
\Campaigns\Campaign 2 - Border Wars
Open the file with any text editor and search for the word 'Stealth' without using single quotes. That find request should place you on a line with an entry value of "Fazrah Stealth Cruisers 1"
You now need to change one letter in each of three entries below that in the following lines
Group Enemy 1 Class Name
Group Enemy 2 Class Name
Group Enemy 3 Class Name
Each of these lines has a value of 'Fazrah Cruiser S' which is the problem, since either the S type cruisers don't exist or there's some bug detecting them even with Tachyon Sensors installed on your ship.
Change the S to a B and rerun the mission from a save game PRIOR to entering the Fitkil system. The change might conceivably work after you enter the system, but I wouldn't want to test my luck.
Now when you enter the Fitkil system, you should see 3 cruisers spawn clearly identified as belonging to the attack group "Fazrah Stealth Cruisers." Kill those 3 cruisers and voila, mission complete successfully this time.
Btw, I made the change, then reloaded from a save game prior to even accepting the mission to go kill the cruisers, having saved just before registering successful completion of the main story mission right before the stealth cruiser one. So, if you make the edit and find that loading within the Fitkil system, or outside of it after having accepted the mission doesn't work, then go back to a save game prior to accepting the mission.
Hope that helps.

The letest beta patch history shows that this bug has been fixed. So get the patch when it comes out and problem solved.
