OT: Windows Question
In windows 2000 I could add icons to my Start bar at the bottom of my desk top next to my start ICON. I recall I could drag and drop them there, or add them via a explorer. I vaguely recall it was a hidden feature and was easy enough to do but you had ot know where to put them. The thing is, I can't recall how to do this now. I had grown used to having my Icons on my start bar next to the Start icon but not in the system tray. Now I have to minimize my windows if I want to access an icon on my desk top. This kinda sucks.
Does any one here recall how to add icons to the start bar next to the START icon at the bottom of the Desktop?
I am using XP now and I wonder if this feature is disabled now.

Re: OT: Windows Question
Everything in 2000 is in XP (which is just 2000 take 2). Right click on the Task Bar. Drag the mouse over the Toolbars option at the top of the context menu. Enable the Quick Launch (Bar). It is odd that you have it disabled, as Windows comes with it enabled by default (from 95 up (I think that was the first to have it, maybe it was 98?)).

Re: OT: Windows Question
Fyron have I ever told you how much I appreciate all of your help over the Last year and a half. If not, let me make it clear now, thank you.
You have my vote for Most Valued Poster of the year my friend.
Atrocities
P.S. That tip was spot on. I could not even find it at the MS site. Again thank you.

Of course, you have to know what you are looking for, so I guess that link is not too helpful.

First to have was win 95 ver 2.5 aka "C".
Came out just before Win98, I don't know if it was sold freely, but it was sent installed on brand name computers.

the quicklaunch came with IE 4, and win95 B & C were OEM releases - not to sold separately but with new hardware. Installing newer IE on earlier releases gives quicklaunch.
