Well this time i didnt start nextdoor to them toltayans, and now they are at war with everyone they have met, mega evil empire just kicked in i guess. I had MEE disabled for awhile now for testing purposes.

By checking the scores seems that those Toltayans are n trouble now, their score has been in free fall past 5 or 10 rounds - it was over 3M, now its about 2M.
I guess i was too worried too soon
Some 4 or 5 games before this, i kept having toltayans as my first (and only) neighbor, blocking my way out to the rest of the galaxy, but seems they are only nasty enemy when its early in game, for me anyway.

As long as i can keep my corner of the galaxy clean & safe (about 25-30 systems), i should not have any problems from the AIs - this time - my empire creates 800k research and 150k intel points per turn, round 73 ..

Well you might be right on that part, this is the first game long time i managed to get past 75 turns, when starting nextdoor of AIs.

I took a look at Toltayans empire, and seems they are in very nice spot in the galaxy, only one wp leading awayt from their corner, all systems colonized, about 30 systems total in their control more or less. The bad thing is the one way out is to the center part of the gal, where everyone are fighting and wiping out them, there are 3 major empires all at war with so no real way to expand any further, unlike all other empires.

Seems im gonna win this one, i just closed 3 wps leading to the heart of my controlled space, leaving all my ships, fighters and mines to the one warppoint, the only a way out to the galaxy.

I guess its all about where you start at ..

Well, honestly think most of them are not strong races:

Sergetti. It was the first race moded I knew, and was a lot more strong that the standard AI... but now it's far to be at the level of the best TDM races.
Norak: like the Sergetti, it's another race done by Daynarr. And on his time it was great, but now looks outdated (just check the Last time it was updated, many things were "changed" by patches, or discovered by modders after this time).
Drushocka: although is more strong than the standard AI, it's not a truly personalized Version.
Ukra-Tal: a race done by GodEmperor (like the Toltayan). This race doesn't performed very well in my tests.
Drakols: interesting race, but is not strong. IMHO, in SEIV it's very difficult to create a competitive race based on intel.
Colonials: they're cool because they use fighters a lot trying to fit with their RPG, but are not an strong race.
Fazrah it's the Version done by Blade? If not, is not an strong race.

Then, the Terran Confederation in my view, its the only good race in your list... but depending of your galaxy, they could have problems playing with low bonuses.

Both AI death matches are the most objective things done to measure the AI performances. Sure they were not perfect, but wanted to run the games with fair conditions to all the AIs.
And you can see the results here:

AI Death Match 1 (played without bonus)
1 Narn
2 Pyrochette
3 EEE - United Flora
5 Earth Alliance - Aquilaeian
7 Klingon - Namovans - Space Vikings - Toron
11 Romulan - Jraenar
13 Shadows - Angelican Regency - Rage -Praetorian - UkraTal - Azorani
19 SWEmpire - EEEVil - XiChung - Vaxin - Orks - Drakol

AI Death Match 2 (with low bonus):
PLACE NAME POINTS
1 United Flora 32
2 Tessellate 27
3 Space Vikings 23
4 Aquilaeian 15
5 CueCappa 16

8 Toron 13
9 Fazrah 9
10 EEE 7

12 Orks 5
13 Gron 6
14 Rage 4
15 Namovans 3
15 Earth Alliance 3
17 Sallega 2
