thx, i got it, installed it...

and the damn thing gets memory errors every few minutes

i'm using a p4 - asus mobo with 845 intel chipset
ati radeon AIW 8500 DV w/ 64 megs ram
half gig of ram
directx 9.0b
windows 2000 pro with sp4 and all crit.updates

ie, what should be a 'good' system...

i guess there are still a lot of bugs which need to be worked out?

from what i've seen tho, it looks really really cool

Arrrrrrg what a disapointment.

clearly the minimum requirements must be a lot higher than my 1Ghz P3. (although they are claimed to be much lower)

Have you tried different options? Storms are the biggest culprits for slowdowns (even somewhat on my p4 2.4) - try setting them lower. Also, WinXP tended to slow the game down a lot more than say, Win98, which I ran with my Celeron 300Mhz and 320Mb RAM originally. If you are running XP, turn off some of the display options (like animated menus etc.).
