shield - another noob question
Hi
I have not tried both sorts, but when I clicked on show newer parts only or whatever it is called in design view it gets rid of shield v, and puts on photon shield ii (that is all i am upto) and I was wondering is this shield simply better than the normal shield, or should i build both,
basically can someone clear up to me, is photon just a improvement, or do they do diffrent things?
sorry about if this sounds rubbsih but i am a keen to learn noob! and i do not know much about the game!

Re: shield - another noob question
Phased shields stop Phased Poleron Beams; normal shields don't. Against any other weapon, a regular Shield V is better than a Phased Shield II.

Re: shield - another noob question
Yes, they are. One other thing- don't mix them. Putting both types on means you just get normal shields; the phased effect is lost.

Yah... don't mix them. I found that out the hard way.

Re: shield - another noob question
Shield regenerators don't care what type of shields you have; they work fine regardless.
