Re: 50 turn and other small games
Hmmm, now that is interesting. One possibility is map size. I know the cap for # of total systems in the Systems file is 255. Has anyone tried to find a *minimum* cap? Maybe you could set the "max systems" to an absurdly low level, then create a 'small' map - the goal would be something along the lines of 5 systems max. Set the available tech to 'High' and voila - instant "arena combat" SEIV style.

Re: 50 turn and other small games
I suppose the minimum is one. Actually you might even be able to do zero, but why would you? But I know one works.
You could set the victory conditions and give the game a hard 100 turn limit. If neither player is wiped out by then the winner is the player with the highest score.

Re: 50 turn and other small games
Hiya Gryph-
I have some ideas... how about this?
1. Race to colonize a particular system.
All players start in the middle and must find a particular system. When it is found, a planet is colonized, the game ends. Players cannot destroy other player's homeworlds, but may snipe each other's ships along the way...

Re: 50 turn and other small games
2. The Great Harvest
Players must achieve the highest resource score possible in 50 turns. At turn 50, the game is ended, and the player (or team) with the highest resource score wins.

50 turn and other small games
I could use some help in designing games that would Last at most 100 turns. This is both for the SE Olympics and for those of us (including myself) that can't maintian a focus or something for more that three weeks.

Re: 50 turn and other small games
It could be possible so, that all palyers start at the one side of the galaxy, and they have to reach destination in other side of the galaxy. However, there is difficulties you have to go through la Guardian in MOO series, to give possibilityi for other palyers to blockade certain warp points etc. Some restrictions is needed, like no warp generation, no treaties of anykind (shoot at sight), etc.

Re: 50 turn and other small games
You could also use Super Powerful Neutral races to hold the players up.

Karbu and Loser
Thanks for the Ideas.
Now, who will be creating these neutrals.
If I put the neutrals in the folder with the other races will I be able to select them?
