OT: Browsers & NetScape
I have been using Netscape now for about a month and I have to say that I really like it. It is a far better product in most regards to IE. It is faster to load and works really well with my system. IE is a problomatic pain in the arse and I am glad not to be using it.
One thing though, NetScape does not like PBW when you try to execute a command function. I.E. (no pun intended) when you click the undo turn or approve a player to join a game buttons it generates java script errors. IE does not do this, but given the trade off, I will stick with NetScape for now.

Yeah, Netscape tends to do that. I use Mozilla and its based off Netscape so I have the same problem. But I just fire up IE for those simple functions and all is well.
Oh, and IMHO, Mozilla's interface and features are alot better then Netscape.

Isn't it the other way around? Hmmm, I guess it is. I always thought it was as I said. I once again need to read more carefully.

Re: OT: Browsers & NetScape
In this thread I have to push for Phoenix, a good fast browser with extra abilities, It's based on Mozilla aswell.
Seems it's been renamed to Firebird.
I'm using Phoenix ver 0.3 and haven't seen any reason to upgrade but might do that later.
Here's a link:
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firebird/
It has tabs for new windows and pop-up blocking, you select wich sites are allowed to pop-up and then the pop-ups is in new tabs, functions good.

Re: OT: Browsers & NetScape
I used to use Netscape to browse until AOL clogged the executeable with bloat code. In those days, I used IE to do PBW. I use Mozilla now, no problems browsing, and using PBW, and it blocks more popups then either Netscape or IE.
I use Proxomitron as a proxy server to block even more popups, but that prevents the PBW site from showing the buttons. Someday I'll figure out what setting is causing that, meanwhile, I just turn in off and refresh when I'm at the PBW site.

Re: OT: Browsers & NetScape
I personally find the Mozilla type browsers to be clunky and in no way better than the IE type browsers. You can get all the features of Phoenix with browsers like MyIE2 without all the junk of Mozilla (and keeping the advancements in HTML possibilities that Microsoft has made, like colors for table borders (which did not work at all Last time I checked Phoenix)).

You can tell your browser to bypass the proxy server for specific URLs (such as PBW). PBW does not work well at all when filtered through Proxomitron.

For those of us who can't speak French, here's a MyIE2 site in English...

Re: OT: Browsers & NetScape
Well... the link I was given before had 2 sites, one in French and one in Chinese (at least, I think it was Chinese...). An English site is most helpful.

Re: OT: Browsers & NetScape
Load up IE 5.5 sp2 (I have the file if you can't find it) Then apply the security patches. DL and load MS virtual machine, set your security as tight as you want it (tight if you run in the buff and loose if you run a firewall)and you will never want IE6 again.
