Default Mine sector

I am playing TDM and ran into a mine field, it was marked with a square and a "M" (like waypoints). I have since come into the system through another entrance and defeated the race there by gaining control of the mine field...still has the box and "M"...I then destroyed all the mines..still no change. Everytime I try to move ships they avoid that warppoint and go teh long way around which is a real PITA.

How do I get rid of the "M" so ships travel through that area.

Thak you.

Ctr-r will remove minefield tags. Ctr-t will create them (usefull for marking damaging storms etc)

I think it is CTRL-M that creates them. However, I think the reason that the game does not automatically clear them is that you don't know who owned the mines that were there. What if there are still mines there from an empire that you now have a peace treaty with? More than 1 empire can mine a given sector. In most cases, the human player will be pretty sure if the sector is only mined by one empire, but I think that's why the game doesn't automatically clear them.

Sick.

Default Re: Mine sector

It is ctrl + t that adds a minefield "tag".
