Problem with map editor.
Does anyone know exactly how to add ruins and unique ruins to planets with the map editor?
When I do, the ruins icon and text show up on the planet window, but nothing happens if the planet is colonized.
When the map editor generates a random map, planets with ruins show them as the "Combat Movement" ability. This makes no sense, and you can't set a planetary ability to Combat Movement, anyway.

Re: Problem with map editor.
Been awhile since i did this so I might be wrong.
When adding them manually you have to assign the planet a value. A ruin and how many techs or specified unique tech number.
You do this by using the drop down menues when creating the planet.
(Bad explanation but I don't have the editor infront of me, if no one comes up with a better explanation I'll put up abetter answer tomorrow).
About the auto generated maps I have no clue why that happen.

Exactly. That method completely doesn't work. I said that. The ruins appear to be there, but when you colonize the planet, nothing happens.
Looking again, I can't find any mention of the map editor on Malfador.Com, anymore. What's up with that?

Yes.
The randomly placed ruins work fine, but they are labled "Combat Movement" under the planet's abilities. The manually placed ruins show up but do not work.

Re: Problem with map editor.
This is a known bug that was introduced by the v1.49 patch. It wasn't fixed until Gold beta v1.52.
