Default Conquest of Elysium I

I remember playing an old DOS game named "Conquest of Elysium" back in 199x (2? 3?). You were the leader of one province of the fracturing roman empire and had to build buildings, appease your population and train and equip your troops.
The battles were not so unsimiliar to Dominions, minus the ability to interact even before the battle - you had small solders running from both sides against each other.

The game was increadibly difficult - I never made it further than perhaps 10 years. This might be due to the strategic inside of a 10 year old without any resonable english skills, but I was fascinated by the game nonetheless.

I didnt find anything about it on google, and I just recently discovered that there *should* be some connection to CoE 2.

Can anyone give me some insight into this?

If any game would tear me away from Dominions 3, this one is it. A little (no, a LOT) easier to get into than Dom3, with great graphics and music, and that eat-you-for-lunch gameplay. Another winner from Illwinter!
