Re: Kings of Drama - Keeping up the proud tradition
are you seriously going to compare them? one is questionable diplomacy. the other is abusing a ****ing bug. do you really think thats at all similar? thats.... really really dumb. to say the least.
a better comparison is like copying bogus orders. there is a clear standard that ingame ethics are up the the game creater, but taking advantages of bugs in the game itself is never allowed.

Re: Kings of Drama - Keeping up the proud tradition
Questionable diplomacy can break the game in a much, much worse way than one or MAYBE two turns worth of blood hunting.
And it does, quite often. This time it's ok though, since its a game about drama, isnt it?

Re: Kings of Drama - Keeping up the proud tradition
Diplomacy is anything goes. If you can get another (potentially) rational agent to agree to do something for you, its fair. Its not broken, its working as intended.
Someone agrees to do something stupid, well, so they're stupid. Might as well call pretender design broken because someone will put an F4A9N4B4 bless on EA Mictlan. Lets call scripting broken too because someone will group their communion in one place and then have a master cast Phoenix Pyre and proceed to get a slave killed by over fatiguing it. (Hilarity results)

People being bad or stupid is not 'breaking the game'.
Diplomacy is an activity you can be good or bad at. Being bad at it is not game breaking, it is simply being bad.
Similarly, being bad at the mechanics of the game such that you die by turn 12 is not game breaking. Its just being bad.

When you get 700 gems for free, you get an unfair advantage. When you win by using the resources of several other nations (willingly heloing you), its an unfair advantage. I dont give a damn if you get an unfair advantage by coercing some guillible fool or by hacking the .2h file.
And yes, it's Drama. So I dont mind if somebody else SUDDENLY casts a +999 gift of natures bounty while we are at it. I just laugh when somebody tries to makes me feel guilty when I know what I know. )))))

You seem to be unable to grasp the fact that diplomacy and manipulation are parts of this game, while hacking/abusing bugs isn't. If you coerce some idiot to give you free gems, good for you. If you hack/abuse bugs, you are breaking the game rules.
