Default What are the best maps?

I've been looking for some good maps for 2-4 players as well as medium sized for 8-12 players. What are the best maps out there for those parameters?

Pasha's maps are always top notch. Dawgbiscuit is good for 2-4 players. Bering is for 7. Alexandria, Asia Twist, and Greece Stain are good for larger games (Greece Stain is 20 players, I can't remember what the other two are designed for).

World of Symmetry/Geometry are favored maps if only because they guarantee some sort of balance.

In general, you want these things:
* set starting points
* wrap around
* fully connected ocean
* balance of open areas and chokepoints

elmokki's maps are great too, and he's got a few smallers ones.

Fourmageddon is fun for four, but it does have a troll province in the middle that can make the game a bit unusual.

Dawn of Dominions / Shahrivar are probably the two best visually stunning maps.

Faerun 466 Adventure and Antilarium the Wells of Power are good if you like provinces with challenging 'indies' defending them. Will spice up single player alot.

All Pasha's maps are good, very well balanced starting positions, good to look at, correct number of neighbouring provinces for capital starting province.

Orania is a good map too.

Lots of good maps if you look around.
