Default Idea about cap control!

any way to allow player to assign a percentage of CAP between the strike package and fleet protection? Maybe for the next update....

bgordon, are you asking for PBEM games or non-PBEM?

In non-PBEM games, your fighters are divided up into three squadrons (if there are enough planes anyway) which you can shift back and forth between CAP and strike escort. Are you looking for finer-grained control in non-PBEM games, or for some control in PBEM?

I like that idea too. Maybe being able to assign percentages to each type (fighter, bombers) on whether they are CAP or Strike...

Would an overall fleet setting (e.g. not able to set different levels for battles at different bases) for CAP preference work? Sort of a "Fleet Fighter Doctrine" setting.
