Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running
Do people want to postpone hosting over Christmas?

I would not mind a short delay.
Merry Christmas

Oops sorry for the stale turn. GMT and the holiday messed me up.

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running
With four stale turns and three received I'm afraid I'm going to roll back. It would be silly not to.
For those who did not stale, your turns will remain on the llamaserver. If you attacked one of the nations that staled their turn you may wish to bear in mind that they may 'preempt' the attack since they are now aware that it was ordered. In the interests of all players I suggest you delete your .2h files and play the previous turn again.

Well, I think that's arguable, especially without any consultation. People know what the deadline is, and they're supposed to post here if they want an extension. Failing to do that, then failing to submit a turn, is not a reason for a rollback, IMHO. Rollbacks are last-resort options for fixing bugs in the game.
On a completely different subject, if anyone knows of someone that would like to take over my (quite strong) Vanheim position, please let me know.
Zap.

Usually, it does not matter to me as I understand it may be in the best interests of the game, however I am inclined to agree with Zapmeister here. Provided (and you will remember I had asked that players have at least 48 hours to submit) everyone has had at least 48 hours to submit, that should be ample time to either submit or notify someone.
I understand that 48 hours may seem a bit long at the beginning of a game, in practice though, most people would not need to use it (especially during the first few turns), but just in case it would be there for people who have things to do other than play Dominions, wonderful as it is, or something unexpected comes up.

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running
I've not yet enacted a rollback, I've just delayed the current turn for a few days. It doesn't effect me at all, since I'm not even interacting with the nations that staled, but it may have had a very strong impact on those players. Yes, I could just carry on, but that seems harmful to the state of the game; I could be wrong in that conclusion, of course.
I see that some of the players that staled last turn have submitted a .2h file this turn, so I assume they're happy to carry on?

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running
My nation is big enough that one stale turn is not going to adversely effect me.
Forward.

Forward it is, then.
Sorry for the disruption, it seems people are more interested in playing than in worrying about a few missing orders; and who can blame them...

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running
It seems I will be taking Vanheim over from the Zapmeister. In reading this thread, there seem to have been a lot of drops. How many players actually remain?
And no, I am not a newbie, but a very experienced player. This does not mean you can't kill me though. I've been killed by noobs before.
Anyway, any treaties that were in place will remain in place for now. Please PM me if you would like to discuss any diplomatic relations.
