This is not a hard and fast rule, for sure. Do a 9W bless and put boots of quickness on your prophet, zooooooom. I had a game where he got heroic swiftness, or whatever the AP bonus is, it was insane, he was over 50 AP. Too bad it was only SP game, I didn't get to amaze anyone, or lose him to something stupid like a random Soul Slay.
|
I don't think the bless and boots stack, but the heroic swiftness stacks with either of those two.
|
Actually, I am pretty certain JimMorrison is correct bless, boots and heroic all stack.

But do you?
A Kraken with lychantropos Amulet never seems to change into a werewolf.

Re: Antimagic + Army of lead
The change seems to be limited to just certain sizes (perhaps from 1 to 3 or 1 to 4), and some types of creatures probably aren't affected (undead, constructs, whatever else).
W9 Quickness and Spell Quickness didn't stack together this February, when it was tested (by vfb at least); Kristoffer also took part in the discussion and disagreed with the tested results. It is easy to test, though. Start a test game with W9 pretender, give an unarmoured priest Boots of Quickness (to avoid encumberance effects on APs), enter a battle and cast bless.
In the above scenario, the AP stay at 2x the base.

My the way, the Amulet of Lycanthropy and Ring of Regeneration did stack regeneration in my tests.

FYI, you can stack hydra skin on top of that, and even cast personal regeneration on top of that...and even put a nature blessing on top of *that*. Stacking regeneration is one of my favorites that I don't see too many people do. Hyrda skin + ring of regen is very nice on an earth king. Very nice indeed.

Re: Antimagic + Army of lead
Good info Endo, I see where the confusion comes from. As a slightly less experienced player, I think I had been left with the impression that Quickness was simply the 50% AP boost. So when the bless takes you to 150%, and then boots take you to 200%, it looks like gaining 50% every time, rather than the boots making the blessing superfluous. It does make the water bless a little less attractive, being not as useful for a sacred thug/SC strat, but maintaining its value for large numbers of sacreds that will never get geared out.

Re: Antimagic + Army of lead
I had a commander with 84 APs in my last game (higher in colder provinces).
Sometimes he acted six times per round. Devastating.

Pretty sure that fire and frost propogating effects stack on commanders. So if you have a Rime Hauberk on a Neifel Jarl, he'll be even frostier.

Re: Antimagic + Army of lead
Even better, Heat and Chill auras from multiple units stack. If you're sending a SC against Niefelheim or Abysia, he'll be immune, of course. But if you are fighting MA Man and see 15 Winter Wolves, you probably don't have cold immunity and probably don't even care. But then the wolves surround your SC, and each one's aura fatigues you, and suddenly you're getting something like 50 points of fatigue every turn you're fighting them.
I was quite surprised when I learned that.

Yeah, that's why Abysia cleans my clock when I'm not ready for them.

Re: Antimagic + Army of lead
Hmm, how do you get ready for Abysia's infantry, short of wide area fire resistance spells?
