Interesting theory.
I wanted to use those new types specifically as moons, and "any size" dosen't work that way
So, yes, I was specifying them explicitly.

If you're right, then I could use the tiny label for the micro moons, and space out the larger names, since it would be OK to randomly pick them...

Well right now it's just a theory. It's been several months since I dealt with it and I am not sure I am remembering it exactly right. I know at one point we were getting null planets, and in the end we weren't. It seems like that was what we figured out was causing it. I would be interested to see if anyone can confirm that independantly.

I ran into the same problem once when I attempted to make random generated systems include a few ring worlds and sphere worlds.

There is any way to generate maps with random ringworlds in them?

HP Delron,

there is a mod that includes 2 planet sizes past huge. It's called Admiral System mod, and it includes a gigantic and titanic planet sizes. However, I can't remember which file I need to add so that I can include it in a mod. Does anyone who's ever used this mod can tell me which files I need to overwrite so that I can use this mod in most of the mods out there I'd appreciate it.

Hmmm.
I think I may have something here...
Before, I was adding the planets to the top of the PlanetSize.txt ... mainly so they would count as the right size for SM techs.

I've moved them to the bottom, and I haven't seen any null-planets yet...

Yes, this thread is very old. Two years between Posts. The problem is a fairly known issue now. There are other threads that describe it in detail and the workaround for it.

Look for Krsqk's Quadrant Mod (IIRC). It has 100s of new planet sizes! I believe it is available on SpaceEmpires.net.

Wow! I'll have to check that out. Here is a link to the download page where the Krsqk's Quadrant Mod is located:
