Black Centaur charge
I have a question about LA Pangaea's Black Centaurs. The stats say they carry a spear, not a light lance, and so, no charge bonus on first strike. But in many battles, I've seen them do massive damage on the first strike, seemingly like a charge bonus. Damage in the twenties seems to happen a lot. Then damage goes down considerably on subsequent turns.
I've used them the other way, doing a fire closest with their javelins, instead of attack closest, and they seem to be much less effective damage dealers.
Can anyone confirm if they do, in fact, get a charge bonus on first strike?
