stratagy & tactical website
I've been thinking about starting such a site with the free space that my ISP provides me. I have front page 2000 and know how to use it. My questions to the group is there a need for this? And copy right issues, it would require permission from the posters in this forum to start this out. My thoughts are for a minimal graphic interface, but repository of cernals of tactics, and grand stratigies. Your thoughts?

Re: stratagy & tactical website
Sounds good Mudshark.
And if you have never developed a web site and kept it going..... it is a good experience.
If you ever have any web questions let me know. I might be able to help you or point you in the right direction.

Re: stratagy & tactical website
why would it require permission of people here? its not like we own pattent rights on grand strategy or anything.
besides, this is a public forum, and by definition things posted here are either opinions, or are in the public domain. is just a courtesy to acquire permision and acredit owners when reposting ideas found in a forum like this. as much as people like to get high and mighty about intelectual property, things said in this forum are about as significant as things said in a pub over a pint.
as for content, you might want to include strategic information from military training manuals, or ideas from the published writings of big boys like Rommel or Patten or Nimitz

Re: stratagy & tactical website
I will help you as i can.
Though i am not as good in the game itself as i could have been i consider myself having good strategies and being able to win from every tactical situation.
Plus i know HTML and graphics, so if you need any help, or if you get the website running and will be looking for several strategies (i'll gladly share some "from the tactical centre of Empire of TechnoLogic") you can reach me via e-mail by this link:

Re: stratagy & tactical website
Tlogic- yes The help would be appreciated. Great minds think alike! Great many cernals of information get lost in this furom in a matter of days.
Puke- you are 100% right, I was hoping for a sight
where the designers of all of the great Races out there would tell how to defeat their creations. I would like to set up a message boaed to discuss our findings. To make it clear as far as undesirable Posts I used to be a sysop for a pay female webcam (to this day I hate "chatting")

Re: stratagy & tactical website
Puke my area of interest is the the Napoleon era (perhaps this explains why I keep on getting my but kicked?). Huge supply trains, fortify, and then get killed by a fleet I could not even afford to field

Re: stratagy & tactical website
The idea is very good, but be careful: i think it will need a lot of work Specially if you want a "professional" (In contents) repository of military tactics/strategies. BTW, i have never seen any site like that. This raises the interest, IMHO
