Any interest in doing some unit graphics Flecha? I know there's a lot of call for that around here - for example in the doctor's new nation Padmassa (still in alpha and lacking graphics).

I feel honored, but I dont think I am good enough. I know how to do some effects in photoshop, but not much more than this. To do this GUI I just needed to use "replace color" two times per image.
But if you have something simple to do, maybe I can help.
I found this browsing old threads, and liked the style overall, but found the blue a bit light for my taste. So, I did a quick tweak of the images, making them darker, and thought I would post the darkened version here in case anyone else was interested.
The author has not been on the forums since 2007, so I figured I'd just post it as an attachment on his thread.
Whaa? Not dark enough? If anything, the original version could use a bit of lightening, since it tends to be rather dark, actually. I've used the blue GUI mod ever since it came out.
Ah but Edi, consider how light some laptop screens are compared with the darkness of older monitors. This is why some mods have very light or dark looking units too - they look fine on the screen used to make them.
Hmm, yes, that is a factor. I've had the blue GUI on two different LCD monitors and it's been rather dark on both of them. I don't have a laptop, so it may well be selection bias in my case.
Interesting. I'm using a desktop LCD at default settings, and the default version shows up as moderate. It's not excessively bright in itself, but I found that the game graphics and icons don't show up so well against it, to my eye, in, say, the unit stats screen.
I've attached an in-game screenshot, though it may not be very helpful, given the monitor differences. For the record, the bottom-most section appears almost black, but not quite, on my monitor.
