Upgrades posted for all of our ATF Engine Titles!
Gents,
As we went through the development cycle for Air Assault Task Force, and took what was best from the ATF Engine, we identified a few things we could "police up" in the ATF Engine games. As we have completed development of Air Assault Task Force, we are now able to release all of these improvements to our earlier games, as free upgrades.
These are all cumulative upgrades, so you do not have to install previous upgrades. They are included in these new upgrades.
Below are the links for the downloads page for each title. See those pages, and the "Read Me" file for each game, for a list of the major upgrades in each title.
Armored Task Force
Version 1.08

Raging Tiger: The Second Korean War
Version 1.17
http://www.shrapnelgames.com/prosim/Raging_Tiger/6.htm
The Falklands War: 1982
Version 1.24
http://www.shrapnelgames.com/prosim/falklands_82/6.htm
The Star and the Crescent
Version 1.33

Installing Multiple Titles in the Same Folder
As a reminder, for all of those who install all of the games on top of one another (to permit playing of older scenarios in the newer engine), you will need to reinstall the release versions of the games as well. Use this install order (omitting any titles you don't have--shame on you --and thier respective patches).
ATF -> ATF Upgrade -> RT -> RT Upgrade -> TFW -> TFW Upgrade -> TSATC -> TSATC Upgrade
When you get Air Assault Task Force, you can install it on top of all of these previous patches, and play all of the older scenarios in the AATF Engine, complete with the upgrades it provides.
Enjoy!

Re: Upgrades posted for all of our ATF Engine Titl
I dont quite understand this part. So basically all the files for all versions will be the same folder? Or will they be in their own named folder ala ATF RT TFW TSATC and AATF? Or do I make a folder say name say ohhh ATF Games and just point all the installers toward it?
Thanks.

Re: Upgrades posted for all of our ATF Engine Titl
Just to make clear, these instructions are ONLY if you want to play scenarios from the older games in the newer versions of the engine, or in AATF:
Yes, install them all in the same folder, in the order described above.
If you don't want to play older scenarios in the newer games, disregard these instructions.

Re: Upgrades posted for all of our ATF Engine Titl
Got it thanks, found an easier way if you already installed all these fine simulations. Just make a new folder called oh say [ATF Series] Just copy paste files in reverse order of release making sure they are properly patched. So in my situation, I copy/pasted the folder contents of ATF, then moved Raging Tiger overwriting any file prompts, then The Falklands, The Star and theCrecent and finally Air Assault Task Force. This saves you time from reinstalling fresh each time a new release comes out. Just overwrite the old with the new which is great. Looking forward to the next series.
Maybe something from the Marine Corps prospective? I would love that, all elements of a Marine Amphibious Task force from LAVs to helos. Possible even the V-22 Osprey for future scenarios.
Just a thought,
Jim

Re: Upgrades posted for all of our ATF Engine Titl
OK, stupid question:
"Below are the links for the downloads page for each title. See those pages, and the "Read Me" file for each game, for a list of the major upgrades in each title.
Air Assault Task Force
Version 1.08
http://www.shrapnelgames.com/prosim/atf/6.htm"
Should this read 'Armoured Task Force' and NOT 'Air Assault Task Force'?
Or does AATF have a patch already?
Thx

Re: Upgrades posted for all of our ATF Engine Titl
I might be missing something here, but I have checked the page and it seems to be labled correctly for ATF. Where are you seeing the AATF title for the 1.08 ATF patch?

Re: Upgrades posted for all of our ATF Engine Titl
Gary,
Yep. This was a typo in the original post to the thread. It should read ARMORED TASK FORCE version 1.08. Thanks.
(I have fixed the original post).
