I am gathering quite a collection of error Messages

Those all look like the same problem to me.
"SE4 (at this line in memory) tried to access (some illegal memory location)."

Is there anything unique about your hardware?

Are all those combats extremely large in terms of numbers?

I got these very same errors and more (all about 4 months after installing se4). I got the 'big blue screen', (fatal exception error blah blah blah..). Now this computer can barely load the browser without defaulting to windozzzz every 2 min.

Is there any chance at all that a game can 'break' your computer??? (yes, I re-installed windows about 4 diff times, clean format and install).(at least my p133 still works like a charm

)

I have seen errors like these before. A number of times (not all of the times) it was due to memory locations going bad and not responding to request by the system, Had to replace the memory cards. Other times it was due to bad sectors on the HD which in turn messed up the OS. Still there were times where we really could not solve the problem and put the system in the back room to collect dust.

Thanks guys, but my system is fine and running at optimal performance.

The problem, I think, was the AI modification for the Star Wars EMP1 race.

That AI would amass a huge fleet and come through the warp point. After each battle, CRASH. I eventually had to become that race, and surrendar to its largest enemy to avoid getting the errors.

I will not use any of the Star Wars races in the future as they seem to be the cause of the error.

Ummm...I made the AI's for the StarWars Empires 1, 2, 3 and Rebels. I will take a look (and I am in the process of updating 1,2,and 3. The Rebels are already updated for 1.49) and see what I can find. I use these races in almost every game (AI tweaking can get obcessive

) and have had no problems. (max turn I usually get to is 140 or so).

Anyone else had trouble with the StarWars empires??

Well, I got some access fault while the game was running the computer player's turn. Oddly enough, it happened on player 12, which was... the Abbidon.

They are at war with the Rage, so it might be they attacked a huge fleet of the Rage, but the Abbidon don't have a large amount of ships. (I am allied to them, they have maybe 11 ships.)

I think the game has some huge memory leaks.

I only run it on my secondary machine.

Don't trust it on the primary one.

After playing 1.49 for awhile now, I finally got one of those "access Errors," where it froze up my computer. original game, non modded, lost all the turns from where I originally saved it, lost over 30 turns, The only thing I remeber, (stupid of me not to write it down,) was it began 81...... I will try and see if I can get it to do it again but it was 30 turns in. teaches me to save more often again.... Haven't had one in a very lonnnnggg time.
