How to change manually PBEM slot?
Hi,
I'm playing 2 email games in the same time. And in the same slot (1). Is there a way to change a pbem slot manually after the game has started?
Thanks for your advice!

The short answer is no. You cannot and if you continue to try two games in the same slot both will eventually fail

Re: How to change manually PBEM slot?
You could try to rename the savefiles, i.e. files called for instance SpEml001.* to SpEml002 and so on.
I've done this many times in SPWAW to change the slot manually and it works, but of course MBT might work differently.
The PBEMRegistry.dat file might be an index of savegames and could cause corruption if renaming files. Im curious, anyone know what it's for?

You cannot rename PBEM games to different slots. You cannot "share" a pbem slot between 2 games either by swapping save games for that slot in and out. Any of the above will corrupt the PBEM security data.
You need to agree the slot to use between players before starting your PBEM game as once the game is started by player 1 in slot X, it is only playable in slot X.
Cheers

The PBEM security in WinSPMBT ( and SPWW2 ) is completely, ( 100% ) different that the PBEM security in SPWaW. You cannot change save slots manually in our games without tripping the security.
