Primal Forest
I've just taken over a province with 50+ enemies. One of them was a Great Mother, like the Pretender, another was the Lord of Fertility. I think it's a bug, but the Lord of Fertility was naked, I mean butt naked, without even a fig leaf to cover himself (vile little man) and there was a site called Primal Forest in said province. Supposedly, you could enter it with a nature mage and summon Hama Dryads, but when I tried to with a Pan, it didn't give me the enter site option. Okay, maybe I need a lab, since enter site is a magicky dealy, so I build one... and still no hama dryads.
So, could anyone explain the nudity and lack of hama dryads? (at least I got a nifty Summer Sword and Ivy Crown)

Re: Primal Forest
There is a nude Version of that god in the monster file. There are quite a few monsters in the file which are not seen in the game much or not at all. What map was this? Sounds like one of mine. I sprinkle random monsters all over the maps and things can show up that you would never see otherwise.
Not sure about the hama Dryad thing.

Re: Primal Forest
It was Aran, not a mod map.

The site: "The Primal Forest" is bugged. It does not allow nature mages to enter (furthermore, it does not allow any mages to enter; just checked to see if it had a wrong flag set)

Re: Primal Forest
Yes, I've seen them appear several times, but very rarely. It really adds fun factor to the game.

There is also an Ice Druid and Hoburg Champion with thier own unique items.

Re: Primal Forest
Hate to revive a dead topic like this, but are these special armies hard-coded in somewhere? I ask, because in a recent SP game, I ran into two seperate Lord of Fertility/Great Mother armies, both being made up of the same troops, with both LoF's having the same magical gear (Summer Sword, Vine Shield, Ivy Crown). So, if I run into this group, will it always be this way? Is it the same for the other special armies, like that special Sorceress (can't think of her name; has a nifty robe available)? Might there be a way to change these armies?

Re: Primal Forest
Reviving "dead" topics is actually the preferred method. It helps keep us from having to rehash territory already covered.
Yes units are hard-coded into the game. And yes they can be changed. You can use map commands to add them to places and change their equip, bodyguards, troops. But if the units show up normally they would have their hard coded info.
Or you can use MOD commands to make many more changes. And those changes could affect any that the game generated also.

Re: Primal Forest
Guess I kinda asked that wrong. Meant is there a way to change the whole army, not just bits of it. I know about modding/mapping commands, and I realize I can tell it "put unit A in province B," but that would get very bothersome if I had to do that for every unit in the group. I'm assuming that these special Groups are always the same, since the commanders were the same in both Groups (the Great Mother's even had the same name, Inanna; unsure about the LoF's names). So, is there a way to change the composition of these special Groups, so that when they randomly appear on a map, they'll be stronger/weaker, give better/worse items, etc. And along those same lines, is there a way to force the group into a province through the map commands, without having to do it individually? I still haven't seen Bogus & Co. or Solaris. Would love to see what they're like.
