info on technologies

is there any website or documentation around where I can find out info on all of the diff technologies for SE4. For example If I choose to research stellar manipulation what is a Matter Gravity Sphere gonna do for me?
any help guys?

As far as I know, no websites have that kind of information, but here's a way to find out on your own:

1. Start a new game with the tech level set to high, and "Show Entire Tech Tree" checked in the game mechanics (I think that's where it is). You can then go into the research screen, ascess the tech tree, and export it to a text file.

2. Go through the exported tech tree and look up the components and facilities in their respective text files.

Also, one can read the information from the data files. The description fields in the data files are what shows up from within the game.
