Star Blazers
Just a quick note to the closet Star Blazers fans out there that the three shipsets (Earth Defense Force, Gamilon Empire and White Comet Empire) have been cleaned up a bit and reposted in the mod section.

Re: Star Blazers
You have done an excelent job cleaning up the shipsets since the first Version. The only thing you forgot to include was the ship name files for the EDF and Gamilons.
The tech manual has a ton of names in then for ships if you would like some help let me know.

Re: Star Blazers
Thanks for the positive feedback, Rich. Nice to know I'm not the only one out there with fond memories of Star Blazers. I've posted the design name files for all three shipsets under the mods section. I've lifted the ship and fighter names from the the SB Fleet Battle System rulebook, and have also added some character names for each empire I found Online (since there don't seem to be all that many ship names). Have a look at the files, and if your sourcebook has more names in it that I've provided, then by all means feel free to edit the design name files and repost them.
Cheers

Re: Star Blazers
Closet fan?? Nope, proud fan. Loved this series as a kid, now I collect the videos as an adult. When I bought this game all I could think of was "Wavemotion gun, now all I need is the Argo." Thanks for making this a reality. Now all I need is the Wavemotion gun sound from the series to replace the se4 wave file and all will be complete .

Like this?
It's kind of on the long side for a SEIV battle sound, you will hear the whole thing if you don't hit end turn right after you fire. I don't know what will happen if you have a ship with other weapons besides the Wave gun. It may not play the whole thing.
I tested it with two ships with only wave motion guns and it worked great.

BTW, I got it from a Star Blazers theme that you can download for your PC from http://www.aaathemes.com/preview.phtml?7519.
The creator is some guy named Malthus. I guess if he is giving away the theme he won't mind us using the wav file as long as we give him credit and don't profit from it, blah blah blah.

Re: Star Blazers
Hot damn, nice wave motion gun sound (he said, after having played the wave file for 17 times straight and counting).
